Episode 2 Story Arcs

Jalapao

Joe - he was the one that spearheaded the campaign to get some protein by eating termites and it appears the idea has worked well. He doesn't seem to be the leader of the tribe (like JT) but is still high in the ranks. He seems like he is gelling prettying well with everyone and that should be a good sign that he's in it for a bit longer.

JT - his story continues to focus on his background of not being part of the 'outside' world. He seems to think that Taj doesn't deserve to win because she probably has a fair share of wealth by being married to her "footbally analyst" of a husband. We also are seeing his relationship develop with someone that is his complete opposite--Stephen. He seems to have taken a liking to him and that could only mean one thing-strong alliance.

Sandy - she wasn't as crazy this episode, we just know and she knows, that she is about to go any day now.

Spencer - they are making him out to be some kind of narrator for the game. Narrators tend to pose a threat at making it far in this game. We don't see Spencer making any bad moves at this point in the game, he's still going to try to be the good, young guy that's a teamplayer..

Stephen - he knows that he can utilize JT as a potential ally. We know that he isn't as physically weak as we may have perceived him. He is definitely not going down like past Survivor "geeks" have gone down.

Sydney - no real action from her this episode.

Taj - it was interesting to see Taj let the cat out of the bag regarding her husband. It was probably better if she had not mentioned it because now she has created a target on her back. Still, she tried making bold moves by solidifying and alliance with Brendan while on Exile, and understood she would have to act a certain way in order to get more clues regarding the idol. The next episode shows her involved in forming a powerful alliance.

Timbira

Coach - the tribe does see him as cocky and even Jeff noticed it when he carried his jacket over his shoulder while going to vote someone out of the game. He isn't living up to the physical aspect of the game, and quite frankly, he doesn't scream to anyone that he should be trusted. Still, it looks like Sierra and Debbie are going along with whatever plans he has for survival.

Brendan - he emerged a bit more this episode because he was the one chose to go to Exile. That developed his storyline a bit more and also showed that he is there to play: first by his interactions with Taj and making her feel comfortable and two is by lying to his tribe about getting information regarding the hidden immunity idol.

Candace - she knew that she talked way too much, she ended up talking way too much, and that's exactly why Timbira had to get rid of her.

Debra - at this point in time, we see her nothing more as naive and a bit of a sheep that goes along with anything. She won't win but she can make it far if she keeps riding coattails. We were impressed that she spoke up during Tribal.

Erinn - she seemed like she was edited as Candace's friend, but then voted her off. Is she a backstabber? No, she is just playing the game that will work best for her, which is probably the reason she has trust issues with her tribe. This is probably not a good thing to mention right before the tribe is about to vote someone out of the tribe.

Jerry - he seems like he's playing the game logically, but isn't forming great relationships yet which will hurt him when he needs to campaign for votes to stay in the game. He seems a bit indecisive as well.

Sierra - she's got a lot of fight in her, first by looking for the idol and second, by doing good for her figure in the challenge. We don't know what to make of Sierra, seems like we are being asked to root for her since people had the wrong first impression of her from the start.

Tyson - he's emerging more and more as the tell it like it is guy. We know that he wants to do things a certain way, but at the same time, he recognizes when he should give control to other people for his own strategic purposes. He's being shown as very strong, that the tribe will probably not cut him loose premerger simply because they need his athleticism.
