Episode 06 Predictions
Dan Levy

Looks like our first (and possibly only) double boot episode. According to recent news, not only will there be 15 episodes instead of the normal 14, and according to a recent release... the finale will feature five castaways, a new survivor first. Anyways, this week it appears individual immunity may be the castaways only chance at locking their spot in the game. If anyone gets it, it would just be a completely random guess.

But it appears there is a Reward Challenge this week. I believe there may be an exile, not sure how it might work though. I might guess that one person is exiled from each tribe, in which case, I'd assume they'd protect weaker members, maybe Candice (again) and Jenny. It's a wrestling challenge, based only on that, I will give the victory to the still physically stronger Rarotonga tribe. So both tribes vote... I think on Raro, it's somewhat obvious that Cristina will be voted off unless immune or exiled. On Aitutaki, this "voodoo plan" may interfere, but I believe it will be one of the weaker outcasts, either Cao Boi or Jessica. I'm going with Jessica on this one, just a gut.

I guess what people are trying to figure out more than the boots is if anyone is actually immune this episode. Really, immunity would only affect the two people I am predicting to leave this week. Let's discuss dynamics.

Challenge wise, Aitu has been winning, and despite this being a very physical challenge, I can see the Aitu women edging out the Raro women in it. The reward is probably some sort of feast. I'm guessing there will be no immunity up for grabs for the winning tribe, though people are saying that if there were, Cao Boi wins it and this is why he tries to call into order Plan Voodoo. I really think, safe or not, he is thinking about the plan anyhow.

The thing we saw last week is that the Aitu core alliance consists of Becky, Yul, Jonathan, Candice and now it appears Sundra. This leaves Jessica, Cao Boi and Ozzy on the outs. Ozzy will be spared because he is a challenge necessity and more importantly, a food provider. Jessica is expendable, but she will likely be kept because she is more tolerable than Cao Boi. It'll be harder for her to rally anything if there is a merge or something coming soon. It will be Cao Boi that should be leaving this episode. He is obviously going against the power 5, and that will not sit with them well.

Over at Raro, one of the women are poised to make an exit. Jenny has been speculated to leave the last couple of episodes, but people who made more devastating moves in the games got in the way of her boot. I still think Cristina's loud mouth will get her in trouble. We have seen the damage she has done at that camp, and they will not forget that. They already said she has the same physical presence and strength in the challenge as Stephannie, and seeing that she is gone, that doesn't spell anything good for Cristina's future.

We have seen the damage she has done at that camp, and they will not forget that.

Matt BrightonAnd then there were 15.  Last week’s episode wasn’t nearly as shocking as some
have been, with a fairly predictable boot of the somewhat worthless Stephannie.  I
will, however, say that the reward challenge had me rolling!  I loved all the banter between the tribes and it really made for an interesting challenge and overall episode.  Though I feel Flica’s days are numbered, she really added to that challenge and made it interesting – ironic how she did all of the talking and ultimately it was because of her that they lost (foreshadowing much, are we)?  But
that was last week and this is this week…

As the previews for this week’s episode have shown, they’re finally going to do a
double Tribal Council.  Personally I’ve never been a big fan of the double TC,
because I feel that it really isn’t fair to the tribe that wins the challenge.  I
mean, that’s the point of an Immunity Challenge – the winners should be immune.

There’s a lot of speculation as to who will win and how they do, though if you
look very closely in the commercials, you can see Cao-Boi with the tribal Immunity
Idol.  Does this mean he’s somehow immune this week?  Personally I think so.
Cao-Boi is one of the liveliest characters this season and it’ll be a shame when
he goes.

As with seasons past, I’m sure there will be a main challenge and then the winning tribe will get to compete for Individual Immunity.  Perhaps they can bestow that immunity on a member of the opposite tribe?  Maybe.  We know the two tribes have had contact with one another outside of challenges, so maybe when Ozzy, Cao-Boi and Flica crashed Raro’s camp – something might have happened?

At any rate, it looks to be a good episode with another very physical challenge.
I like the challenges where they actually get to physically contact the opposing
tribe – I’m sure there’s a lot of pent up aggression in these folks and its fun to
watch as these guys and gals try to beat the hell out of each other.  Predictions?
This is a tricky one…

So maybe when Ozzy, Cao-Boi and Flica crashed Raro’s camp – something might have happened?
