Get a sneak peak at the latest batch of Survivor contestants about to embark on the journey of a lifetime. So far we only know, according to The Early Show, that they will endure a "grueling overnight hike," and "the castaways will be faced with two additional surprises in the first episode that will dramatically impact how they play the game." Survivor Guatemala debuts at 8 PM PST/EST on September 15, 2005.

The cast of Survivor Guatemala departed earlier this week for the National Park Yaxhá-Nakum-Naranjo where they will take part in survival training and various media interviews. Filming should start on for an expected 39 days, giving the crew enough time to vacate the premises by the deadline set by INGUAT and Survivor producers.

There is also speculation around the web that two former contestants may be headed to this new edition of Survivor. Whether these two previous players will actually be a participants or play some other role is still unknown.
