Matty Whitmore
Sole Survivor:
Bob Crowley
Episode Summary:
On the way back to camp, Sugar brags that her
idol was perfectly played at the last Tribal
Council. Sugar felt great that she used it
gloriously. She feels very powerful now. On the
other end of the spectrum, Ken feels a bit
betrayed that Bob didn't live up to his word.
When Ken asks if he is able to have Bob's next
immunity, Bob snaps back and says to get his
own. Ken says that he was really close to
winning but just couldn't pull it out. With his
faith in Sugar shaken, he feels like he is about
to leave the game.
In a confessional, Sugar reveals she wants to be
in the final 3 with Bob and Matty. Sugar wants
to take out Susie and Kenny next so it is
important that she gets into Ken's ear as soon
as possible to gain his trust back. She knows
she has to get his trust back right away or else
he could get into Bob's head or Matty's head. On
their way to treemail, Sugar assures Ken that he
is going to be alright and Ken takes that to
mean he has nothing to worry about. He is
confident that the others will be voting for
Susie.
At the immunity challenge, the Survivors must
make their way under a fence, through a maze,
and another maze that has several puzzle pieces
hidden. The first person to assemble their
puzzle correctly wins immunity and is guaranteed
a 1 in 4 shot of winning a million dollars. In
the end, Bob's winning streak continues and
Susie complains that it has been impossible to
win against the wizard lately.
At camp, Matty goes over to assure Ken that he
is okay. Matty said he still hasn't written
Kenny's name down to this day and that he
doesn't want to blindside him. If he were going,
Matty would give him the heads up. Meanwhile,
Susie is trying to get in on any sort of plan
going on around camp. When she asks Matty what
is going on, he isn't able to give her a
definitive answer resulting in much
anxiety and paranoia.
Sugar
notices that the deeper they get into the game,
the more difficult it is becoming to vote
someone out. Sugar is torn between Susie and
Kenny. She would be thrilled to vote out Susie
because she has no allegiance to her and
therefore, that wouldn't hurt to have her up
there on the jury, and she doesn't mind voting
out Kenny because he's a liar and cannot be
trusted. Matty tries to get Sugar to consider
Susie, but as they file into Tribal Council,
Sugar knows Bob and Matty will go along with
whatever she decides.
At
Tribal Council, the tribe continues their
discussion of Bob's dominance in the game and
how it affects their strategy in getting to the
end. Ken takes the time to try and highlight how
Bob is a lot more sneaky and underhanded than he
is leading everyone to believe. Bob thinks it is
absurd and explains that he had no choice but to
do what he did because it was revealed that Ken
was planning to vote him out once the necklace
was given away. In the end, all of the lying and
cheating caught up to Ken as he was voted out by
a 4-1 vote.
Reflecting on Tribal Council, Susie knows that
she must win the next challenge in order to stay
in the game longer.
Before
heading to their final immunity challenge, the
Survivors pay tribute to the fallen comrades,
the 14 players voted out before the Final 4. At
Exile Island, the Survivors will salute their
fallen comrades and then proceed to their final
immunity challenge. Matty is honored to be apart
of it.

she thought.

a tribe with, he couldn't find common ground

like people and make friends

succeed, in the end she felt like a failure but
that has been very humbling

though he didn't win the million but he grew as
a person for the better
Instead of a traditional endurance Immunity
challenge, the Survivors are given a task of
building a structure that is higher than 10 feet
using 200 tiles/cards. If no one is able to
reach 10 feet, the person with the highest
structure wins immunity.
It started out as a close race between Sugar and
Susie, but Susie eventually gained momentum and
decided to stop altogether so as to knock her
pieces. Susie wins immunity and the other three
are dumbfounded.
Sugar says this is not in accordance with her
plan, and the reasoning behind getting rid of
Kenny was that Susie would not have a chance at
winning immunity. She concludes that that is
what happens when you underestimate somebody.
Sugar is crying and knows that Bob has to go
next because everyone would lose against him.
While
at camp, Susie goes on and on about her winning
the immunity challenge. Sugar and Matty warn her
that it is not a good time to do that.,
especially in front of Bob. At this point,
everyone confirms that Bob is on his way out.
During moments leading up to Tribal Council,
Sugar hatches a plan to try and help her father
figutre Bob out by forcing a tie. She doesn't
promise him entirely because she said she would
never write Matty's name down.
At
Tribal Council, Sugar is still debating between
Bob and Matty, it's like voting out her father
or brother. In the end, Sugar shocks everyone by
voting with Bob, sending him and Matty to the
tiebreaker fire making challenge. Matty isn't
able to start anything and within moments, Bob
has his fire blazing eventually winning the
challenge, which sends Matty to the jury.
Back at the Nobag camp, the final 3 rejoice in
making it all the way to the last day. They are
surprised to find a full out brunch waiting for
them at the treemail. Sugar is scared to death
about the jury as she has had a hand in voting
out each person except for Marcus.
Ken wants to hear Bob admit that he backed out
on the deal and wants to know why Susie deserves
to win over the other two. He also admits that
Sugar has played a good game by avoiding ever
having her name written down. Randy personally
dislikes all three of the finalists left but
still sees Sugar as making the best moves out of
the three. Corinne is excited to let her
personality run free as she is no longer in game
mode. She can let go of the filter that has been
holding her back.
During
the opening statements, Susie mentions the
confidence she has gained throughout the game
and how she has always tried. Bob doesn't think
he didn't outwit or outplay anyone in the game
and goes on about appreciating the people on the
jury. Sugar thought she played a perfect social
game, she had to lie and she thought she played
a good game for being physically weak and that
she wasn't sure what she was doing out there.
The
jury finally have a chance to address the final
3.
Charlie: His first question is for the
ladies. Susie was ranked at the bottom and Sugar
was second from the bottom before the tribal
swap. He wants to know why they should win after
being rated so poorly. Susie thinks she is
deserving because she has been trying while
Sugar thinks he doesn't have to vote for her.
Charlie then asks a question about cuddling with
Bob and Bob said he didn't give a hoot because
it kept him warm.
Crystal: She said Susie was a coattail
rider. Strategically, Bob didn't do much but
Sugar controlled him like a remote control car.
Sugar lets Crystal know she voted her out
because of the way she treated people.
Ken: Why do you deserve the million [to
Susie]? Susie responds by saying she was an
average person playing a game with not so
average people and still emerged in the final 3.
When asked about why Sugar voted against him,
she answers that she felt he was a bigger threat
at the time at the final 4 immunity than Susie
(though she was wrong). Ken takes one last
attempt to get Bob to own up about his broken
deal, but he isn't satisfied with the answer he
gets back.
Corinne: Corinne asks Susie if she wants
her vote then she will have to get rid of her
vocal chords. Corinne tries to coax Bob in being
nasty and all he could say is that he didn't
like the way Sugar handled the fake idol
situation. And perhaps the most brutal of
comments was directed toward Sugar when she says
she hopes Sugar will have anti-depressants on
hands so that she can stop all the crying over
her dead father.
Marcus: Asks a question relating to
making choices within the game, nothing of real
substance...
Randy: Randy wanted Susie to elaborate on
why Susie felt sorry for him. She didn't mean it
offensively. Bob said it was necessary for him
to fake him out, but Randy disagrees and said it
was in poor taste. And while he had a slightly
open mind about voting for Sugar, Sugar shot
herself in the foot by once again being brutally
honest about how she thinks Randy is a jerk.
Matty: Matty asks Susie why the other two
should not win. Susie was disgusted at Sugar for
the fake idol incident and Bob being a sore
loser after losing the final 4 immunity
challenge. When Matty gets a chance to address
Sugar, he asks what she did that was evil. She
said teary eyed that it was breaking Kenny's
heart. Bob just says that he is more deserving
than the other two people next to him.
In the end, the original Kota alliance voted for
Bob and the original Fang voted for Susie. Sugar
received no votes. This left the vote in the
hands of a swing voter, Randy who has had the
opportunity to be in both alliances. When all
was said and done, the deciding vote was cast in
favor of Bob, and he becomes the Sole Survivor
of Survivor Gabon.
