  Survivor Gabon Awards

Thank you to everyone that participated in our Survivor Gabon Awards. It was a great season for the site. Enjoy the results and see you in a little while for Survivor Tocantins!

Best Challenge
Winner: Slip and Slide
Runner Up: Fruit Throwing

What makes for good TV? How about slathering a bunch of built 20 somethings in something shiny and slippery and have them slide down a long track which had your fair share of cleavage shots. What else made this challenge memorable to viewers? It was one of the few challenges the original Fang tribe was able to win before the switch.

Best Reward
Winner: Gorilla Sanctuary
Runner Up: Family Visit

It was a reward that was out of the ordinary and gave the viewers a chance to really experience life out in Gabon. The Survivors who were able to participate in this reward noted that it was an amazing, once in a lifetime opportunity.

Best Strategist
Winner: Sugar
Runner Up: Ken

Sugar narrowly squeaked by Ken in the votes to get the title of Best Strategist for the season. Some may have said her game was too emotional, and that she wasn't entirely playing for herself--but if her strategy was ultimately to get someone she really wanted to win the title of Sole Survivor, then you can't argue with her, she did just that.

Most Shocking Boot
Winner: Marcus
Runner Up: Ace

During the second switch, viewers were wondering the entire time whether Susie would stay true to her most recent tribe, or jump ship back to her original allies. Torn between Bob/Marcus and Crystal/Ken, she felt that she could make it a lot further with the latter pair and helped them in voting out the powerhouse player at the time--Marcus.

Best Fight
Winner: Crystal vs. Randy
Runner Up: Corinne vs. Sugar

All season long, we've been treated to heated moments between Crystal and Randy. Randy calling Crystal sasquatch here, Crystal screaming during confessionals about Randy there. It was tension that built up all season long, and seemed to have lasted long after they were voted out. Put these two on Amazing Race if you want ratings gold!

Best Tribal Council
Winner: Final 8 Tribal Council - Randy Voted Out
Runner Up: Final 6 Tribal Council - Crystal Voted Out

Randy was sitting quite comfortable at the Final 8 Tribal Council, with assurance from his own ally Bob, that he would be safe with a hidden immunity idol. Aside from Randy and Corinne, everyone else very well knew the idol that he was about to use was indeed a phony. In any case, we'll never forget all the laughter that was being kept in as Randy was voted out of Nobag.

Best Confessionals
Winner: Crystal
Runner Up: Corinne

Crystal had all the sass and honesty to make all of her confessionals worth watching. She never held anything back during these one and one sessions and we definitely miss that in future seasons.

Most Memorable Moment
Winner: Sugar Finding the Hidden Immunity Idol
Runner Up: Crystal Yelling at Cameras When She is Voting for Randy

Could it be users at Survivor Shrine has a soft spot for underdogs? Well Sugar proved to play this role perfectly as her first trip out to Exile, she was able to find the idol. Before she left to Exile, players said she was sent namely because no one believed she would be able to find it. And of course, she finds it a lot faster than a lawyer who was sent before her. She kept it all season long until she had to give it to her ally just to save him.

Prejury Favorite
Winner: Jacquie
Runner Up: Ace

We don't quite know why Jacquie emerged as a preseason favorite--perhaps everyone thought she stood a good chance for lasting it in the game. It probably would help that you are cute as well. Even so, the last episode where Jacquie fought for her life to stay in the game probably increased her likeability as we had a lot harder time dealing with people who didn't want to be there as much.
