Episode 01 Recap
07.06.06
The festivities begin as Julie Chen announces the first twist of the season. Because the votes were so close among America's choice for the All-Stars, two additional players were added to the roster of houseguests this season.

For the women, the top four include: Janelle, Erika, Nakomis and Diane. Upon entering the house, the women quickly scramble to one room before finding a more comfortable room that has a bed suited for four. Nakomis has reservations of being grouped up with the girly girls.

For the men, the top four include: Howie, Kaysar, James and Jase. Some of the HGs express some caution that several players this season are BB6 alum.

The remaining six All-Stars include: Will, Danielle, Marcellas, Alison, Mike and George, whom was surprised he got chosen to participate in the game.

Before the competition even begins, we are filled in on some of the brewing rivalries and alliances brewing in the house:

- Will and Mike are clearly still friends since their season. They both are none too happy with Kaysar (the teddy bear) being in the house, as they find him to be very self-involved with nothing to back it up with.

- Alison notes that Will is clearly very cocky, and believes the world revolves around himself. She also dreads sharing the house with Erika, whom she voted out during her season. Erika says the possibility of enacting revenge on Alison is possible. She does say there is a chance that Alison has changed since the game, but she highly doubts it.

- Mike thinks George is a minnow swimming in a pool of sharks.

- Danielle and Marcellas still have beef that has gone unresolved during their season. As far as she knows, she will not be talking to him over the course of this game.

- Howie, Janelle, Kaysar and it appears James still have a bond since being on BB6, the houseguests notice this pretty well.

- Diane and Nakomis are staying out of everyone's radar.

The first HoH competition is underway and Julie reveals that there will be two houseguests sharing the power for this week. The catch will be that if the two do not come to a decision together, they will both be put up for eviction instead.

For the first HoH competition, two separate groups of houseguests stood on a pedestal, while the remaining group hurls a huge boulder at them. The last person standing will become one of the new HoH. For the first heat, Jase wins. The second heat is in the hands of Howie, who has a choice to knock over either Janelle and Danielle. Danielle exclaims that she wonders who Howie will knock over. Of course, Janelle is saved and is the second HoH.

The scheming then begins. Danielle puts the idea in Alison and George's head about getting Jase to purposely not agree with Janelle so the two of them will be put up and the person who has the numbers will be the one who stays. Originally, Alison believes Danielle is campaigning against BB6, but when she asks Danielle who she wants gone, Danielle doesn't say a word. Alison goes on and spreads the idea in other people's heads. Jase goes to talk to Janelle before she gets ideas of her own, and finds her discussing the matter with Kaysar and James. The BB6 crowd seem like they are leaning toward getting Danielle out since she is stirring the pot so early on.

Later on, Alison continues to spearhead the HoH self-nominating scheme to others, saying the numbers are in their favor to save Jase over Janelle.

At the nomination ceremony, the clear troublemakers in the house are Danielle and Alison, who were nominated because they were playing the game way too hard. Alison blames Janelle for being put up and Danielle regrets making such a bold move so early on. One of them will be leaving the house, unless they win the power of veto competition on Tuesday.

  We Pick the Cast
07.03.06
So who do we think would make the most optimal cast for Big Brother All Stars? CBS will get to choose 6 houseguests, and the remaining 6 come from our votes. I break it down for you based on what we know about them and see who has pretty good chances of being the hamsters this summer.

MUST HAVE

Alison: So she wasn't really well received by the public, since her BB4 season, her stint on the Amazing Race and now another chance at BB, but the fact remains, she is the person CBS would want to put in the house just so American has someone to 'hate.' Whether you hate her or not, she holds her own in competitions and will not go down easily.

Danielle: She used the secret alliance partner strategy and it is pretty much a given that she won't be able to use that strategy again. Above all, her diary room sessions were quite fun to watch. She should be in the house.

Diane: If there is a Jase, there will be a Diane, as the two butted heads during their seasons. Not only that, but she was given a "b*tch" edit, and every house needs one of those of course.

Janelle: Probably the ultimate underdog, especially when she was up against the friendship. She was also constantly on the chopping block. She also had a huge argument with Beau and despite all of this, lasted quite far into the game. She will be given another chance, especially given her popularity not only with the fans, but the producers of the shows it seems.

Jase: He wasn't too keen on how to play the game but because he was regarded as a troublemaker, it won't be a surprise if he makes it just to stir things up.

Kaysar: Like it or not, the guy has been welcomed into America's heart, even scoring another chance to play the game during his season. Oddly enough, the viewers got a hand on who went back into the house, and they chose Kaysar, so don't be surprised to see him inside the house this Thursday. I didn't follow BB6 closely, but I know that he was very popular.

Marcellas: He made a huge blunder when he didn't use the veto on himself, thus sealing his fate. You played the game wrong, and no one is to blame but yourself. Still, he has been exposed doing housecalls (the Internet show corresponding to BB) and will probably be typecasted as the gay one.

Michael "Cowboy": The guy didn't know what he was doing in the house, strategy really sucked and seemed to be a very horrible brother. Despite all of that, I think CBS (cause it doesn't seem the fans would) will put him in the house just so that there are some sheep in the game. However, Nakomis has a better chance of getting in which would probably hurt his chances of getting in. We'll see what they do with this one.

Nakomis: The likeable sibling of the DNA twist, she made a pure genius move to get Jase ousted from the Big Brother house and subsequently made it to the Final 4 only to be voted out by her own brother. Yes, America will give her a chance at redemption.

Will: He was against all odds during his season, his posse called Chill Town was picked off, but somehow, he played the "I am an optimal final 2 partner" and ended up winning the whole game. Not only was he manipulative and crafty at playing the game, but he is one of the most entertaining characters to have ever been on the show. America has not forgotten about Dr. Will.

WON'T SEE

Bunky: If Marcellas get in, they will likely leave Bunky out, call it typecasting as you will, and again, age seems to be a factor on the casting lately.

"Chicken" George: It's been too long since we have seen him, most have forgotten him, and he played during a dated format of the game. I would be surprised to see him make it. This cast is looking to be very young.

Dana: Didn't have a lasting impression on her season so we will probably not see her around.

Erika: Her relationship with Jack was probably the most memorable thing about her, and it was probably endearing enough to have some votes be thrown her way. I also remember her being an underdog in the house so that also helps as well. She, however, was criticized for making some racial related comments in the house. Also, not having the immediate name recognition will not help her get in the house.

Ivette, Howie & James: Too many from BB6, especially since Kaysar and Janelle are a lock to get into the house. They will probably looking from the house on the live internet feeds or TV like everyone else. Howie does have the best chance out of the three to make it though.

Lisa: Unlike Will, she wasn't too memorable of a winner so a spot with her would probably leave someone else out who might add more to the show than her.

Mike "Boogie": Hmmm... nothing comes to mind when you mention Mike, so I could see him being left out on the show or put on the show so Will has a sidekick.

Monica: Her chances getting into the house is not looking good, I don't seem America voting for her, and given the fact the producers get to choose the remaining houseguests, I could see other people outshining Monica. She is, however, one of the more outspoken females in the possible cast.

So after all of that analysis, here is what we think the makeup of the house will look like, with Howie and Erika being both of our iffy picks, while the rest seem to have a really good chance to be seen:
